Supply of solid timber flooring in a variety of species
Peak Floor Trades can source almost every variety of timber that you may want at very competitive rates. We purchase directly from the supplier, which ensures the quality of the timber. Our suppliers guarantee the quality of the timber. We can advise you on the density and durability of the timber so that it will suit your commercial or home needs.
Supply of engineered timber flooring
We can source and recommend top quality brands of engineered timber flooring and unfinished engineered oak .

Laying of solid timber or engineered timber flooring
Most of our solid timber floors have a tongue and groove profile. We direct stick these using a glue to match both the substrate and the flooring. Alloy strip is used where the timber floor terminates so that the finish is a clean line. We can lay directly onto the concrete slab, particle board flooring, battens or onto a plywood substrate, depending on architectural specifications.
Sanding and fine sanding
Most floors require 4-5 levels of sanding. We begin with a rough sand and work through to a fine sand, and finish with a sand that leaves no marks from the machines. Peak Floor Trades creates minimal dust with up to date machinery that gets rid of the dust. All rubbish and dust is taken off site, and of course the floor is left clean and looking like new.
Staining
We have a range of specific stains for floors, and can colour match if you would like to match your floors with other colours in your home. Staining is an art, and Glenn and the team have had many years of experience. We keep up to date with comtemporary colours and techniques so that your stained floors last the test of time.
Polyurethane and Oil Finishes
The polyurethane we use is a waterbourne product called Bona Kemi, which is manufactured in Sweden and is the world leader in its field.
The oil we recommend is Osmopolyx, made in Germany, and is a highly durable oil hardwax finish. This is oil is comprised mainly of thistle and tung oils which are natural products and are safe for humans and plants with low emissions.

Stairs
Peak Floor Trades can machine and install your treds, risers and bullnose to match your new flooring. We employ a Joiner to make up your stairs if they are tricky, and then we lay and finish them on site. Glenn has years of building expertise which means that your stairs will be the showpiece of your home!
Supply and installation of solid timber decking
As well as creating beautiful finishes in your home, Peak Floor Trades can supply and install high quality timber decking in many different profiles and species using new and traditional fixing methods. We recommend highly durable stains and products to finish your deck.
We can also restain or finish your existing deck to give it a lift and make it look like new again.
